Everyday we sing the Pledge of Allegiance, but do we ever ask ourselves WHY? Why do we pledge ourselves to the United States everyday?

With the Patriotic Pledge, you sing the Pledge of Allegiance and also share a quick fact on why we live in one of the great country in the world. Our goal is for US Students to understand and come together around our incredible shared history, and to learn why we should be proud to be an American!

Examples facts to share during the pledge of allegiance

  • Did you know the internet was developed in the United States? The US Department of Defense, which is in charge of protecting our nation, funds and helps build new technology through its agency called DARPA. In the 1960s, DARPA built the networking technology that laid the foundation for the internet!

  • Did you know the United States invented the atomic bomb. The US feared that Nazi Germany was building a similar weapon, and from 1942-1945, some of the best scientists came together to work on the Manhattan project, and successfully developed the atomic bomb which helped end World War 2.
