I’m Kavin Taparia and I am a fourth grader at Quaker Ridge Elementary School in Scarsdale, NY. I love learning interesting facts about our country.

My parents were telling me that there is a lot of disagreement in our country, to the point where it’s bad for everyone. I didn’t understand this, because there is so much to be proud of.

Because we sing the Pledge of Allegiance everyday in school, I thought it would be great to share reasons of why we should be proud of our country - reasons that could bring us together.

My vision is that in every school that sings the Pledge of Allegiance, we can take 30 seconds to share a fact about America that we all can be proud of. I also hope that students and teachers can contribute facts about America that we can all share. With a shared and proud sense of history, I believe our country will continue to thrive!
